Audio CDs always contain uncompressed PCM stereo audio at 44100 Hz sample rate, 16-bit sample format. So to burn an audio CD, export the file(s) you want to burn as a 44100 Hz 16-bit stereo WAV or AIFF file.

1) Insert a blank CD on your computer's CD writer. 2) Launch Streaming Audio Recorder. 3) Click the "Tools" menu and select "CD Burner". 4) Click the "Add" button and select the MP3 files you wish to burn on CD. 5) Click the "Start" button to begin the burning process.

The first commercial compact disc was produced on 17 August 1982. It was a recording from 1979 of Claudio Arrau performing Chopin waltzes (Philips 400 025-2). Arrau was invited to the Langenhagen plant to press the start button. The first popular music CD produced at the new factory was The Visitors (1981) by ABBA.
